Translation Request of article about Austrian writer Klaus Ebner

[àtúnṣe àmìọ̀rọ̀]

Hello,

I am Irina Walter from Austria, interested in literature and working on a project to translate the article about Austrian writer K. Ebner into other Wikipedia languages. Thus I would like to have this article also translated into the Yoruba language, be it in its original length or in a shortened summary layout. This section is my wish/request (I hope it is the right place). Source texts are available in different languages, here are the most important:

And please don't forget to copy all the Wikipedia links (located at the end of an article) so that the Wiki robots be able to spread the link to the article in your language. If you have further questions, please don't hestitate to contact me on my English or German user page. Thank you very much for your endeavors!

Yoruba Benin alphabet

[àtúnṣe àmìọ̀rọ̀]

Hi. Yoruba has a slightly different alphabet in Benin. It has been standardized in the National Languages Alphabet by the National Language Commission in 1975, and revised in 1980 by the National Center for Applied Linguistics. Basically ẹ -> ɛ, ọ -> ɔ and ṣ -> sh. The diacritics should be the same.

I looked at m:Wikipedias in multiple writing systems and it looks like the automatic conversion system works pretty well for other language Wikipedias. Would there be people interested by this feature?

There's less than a million Yoruba speakers in Benin, but the National Languages Alphabet rules are taught in school, so I've been told by a local. This would allow Benin Yoruba speakers to use their official alphabet here. I'll copy the converter code in User:Moyogo/Converter.html. You can copy it's content in a new text file and save it as Converter.html and test it with your browser. --Moyogo 17:25, 22 Oṣù Kejìlá 2011 (UTC)

Comments and feedback on the planned international LGBT+ Wiki Loves Pride featured picture drive are welcome on the discussion page, see link.

The competition encourages high quality photographs from Pride events and other LGBT+ cultural related images to be released to Wikimedia Commons. The goal is to see a jump in the numbers of LGBT+ cultural related photographs nominated for Featured Picture status on all Wikimedia projects.

Contributions by บุญพฤทธิ์ ทวนทัย

[àtúnṣe àmìọ̀rọ̀]

User:บุญพฤทธิ์ ทวนทัย is a contributor based at the Thai Wikipedia who has created machine translations of articles and spammed them over a wide range of Wikipedia languages, including here. While the subjects of the articles he has created are (mostly) notable, the mistake of creating articles in languages he does not understand has led to extremely bad quality, probably at the level of unintelligibility. Unless local editors are willing to start a clean-up effort, I suggest that his contributions be deleted. Someone who knows the language can later write proper articles about the subjects. --Paul 012 (ọ̀rọ̀) 09:49, 11 Oṣù Kọkànlá 2020 (UTC)
