King's College, Lagos [1] jẹ́ ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ sẹ́kọ́ndìrì ní Ìpínlẹ̀ Èkó. Wọ́n dá a sílẹ̀ ní ọjọ́ ogún oṣù kẹsán ọdún 1909 pẹ̀lú àwọn akẹ́kọ̀ọ́ mẹ́wá ní Erékùṣù-Èkó, lẹ́gbẹ́ Tafawa Balewa Square. Ìlé-ẹ̀kọ́ yìí maa ń gba ọkùnrin nìkan, bí ó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ wípé àwọn obìnrin díẹ̀díẹ̀ wà lára wọn (A Level) àwọn akẹ́kọ HSC kí wọ́n tó dá  Queen's College Lagos [2] , sílẹ̀ tí a mọ̀ sí kọ́lẹ́jì obìrin. Ní ọdún  1908, alákóso ètò ẹ̀kọ́ ní orílẹ̀ èdè Nàìjíríà, Henry Rawlingson Carr gba Gómìnà Walter Egerton ní ìyànjú lórí ètò ẹ̀kọ́ ní Ìpínlẹ̀ Èkó.[3] Ìyànjú Carr àti àwọn ìmòràn rẹ̀ ní ó jẹ́ kí wọ́n dá King's College sílẹ̀. Carr jẹ́ kí àwọn London Board of Education ri wípé dídá ilé ìwé yìí sílẹ̀ maa mú ìtẹ̀síwájú bá ètò wọ́n nípa ẹ̀kọ́ ní àwùjọ.[3] Fún ìdí èyí, àwọn olùkọ̀wé kan maa ń pe Henry Carr ní "atukọ̀ King's College".[4][5]
