Kamla Persad-Bissessar (born 22 April 1952 in Siparia[1]) is the Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the seventh person to hold this position. She was sworn in as Prime Minister on May 26, 2010 and is the country's first female Prime Minister[2].
