Dr. Oluyombo Adetilewa Awojobi ( láti March 1, 1951 sí April 17, 2015) jẹ́ oníṣẹ́-abẹ ìgbèríko ní orílẹ́-èdè Nàìjíríà (Nigeria), Óníṣẹ́-ìwádìí, Olùpilẹ̀sẹ̀ àti Ọmọnìyàn. Ó jẹ́ olókìkí jùlọ fún àwọn iṣẹ́ tí ó ti ṣe ní ilé ìwòsàn Adejobi (Awojobi Clinic) tó wà ní Eruwa (ACE) ní agbègbè ìjọba ìlà-oòrùn Ibarapa ní ìpínlẹ̀ Ọ̀yọ́ (Oyo State).[1]

Ó jẹ́ aṣáájú-ọ̀nà ìdàgbàsókè àgbègbè àti ìṣelọ́pọ̀ ti ìmọ̀tuntun, àwọn ẹ̀rọ ìṣòògùn tí ó yẹ.[2]

Ó jẹ́ ọmọ Oloye Daniel Adekoya Awojobi, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ ọ̀gá ibùdókọ̀ ti Àjọ tó ń rí sí ètò ìrìnnà ojú irin ti Nàìjíríà (Nigerian Railway Corporation) ẹni tí wọ́n tọ́ dàgbà ní agbègbè Ikorodu ní Ìpínlẹ̀ Èkó (Lagos State) pẹ̀lú Ìyá wa Comfort Bamidele Awojobi (née Adetunji), oníṣòwò kékeré tí wọ́n tọ́ dàgbà ní agbègbè Modakeke, Ile-Ife, ní Ìpínlẹ̀ Ọ̀ṣun (Osun State) ní March 1951.[3] Ó lọ sí ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ CMS Grammar school láàrin ọdún 1963 sí ọdún 1969. Ó lọ kẹ́kọ̀ọ́ nípa Ìṣègùn Òyìnbó àti iṣẹ́ abẹ (Medicine and Surgery) ní College of Medicine, University of Ibadan níbi tó ti kẹ́kọ̀ọ́ gboyè ìjìnlẹ̀ nínú Iṣẹ́ abẹ ní ọdún graduated 1975[1] Ó gba àmì-ẹ̀yẹ Adeola Odutola gẹ́gẹ́ bíi akẹ́kọ̀ọ́ onímọ̀ ìṣègùn tí ó dára jùlọ ní àkókò ìkẹ́kọ̀ọ́ jáde rẹ̀.[4]

Awojobi (Dr.) bẹ̀rẹ̀ ètò ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ̀ ní ilé ẹ̀kọ́ṣẹ́ mọṣẹ́ ìwòsàn ti ifásitì ti Ìbàdàn (University College hospital, Ibadan ) gẹ́gẹ́ bíi olùgbé oníṣẹ́-abẹ (surgical resident) láàárín ọdún 1977 sí ọdún 1983. Ó lọ ṣe iṣẹ́ ìwòsàn ìgbèríko ní Ilé ìwòsàn agbègbè tó ń bẹ ní Eruwa ní August 25, 1983.[5] Ó kọ̀wé fiṣẹ́ sílẹ̀, ó sì dá ilé-ìwòsàn Awojobi sílẹ̀ èyí tó ń bẹ ní Eruwa - Awojobi Clinic, Eruwa (ACE), ní October 27, 1986 níbi tí ó ti ṣiṣẹ́ títí tí ọlọ́jọ́ fi dé.[6][7]

Wọ́n mọ̀ ọ́n fún aṣáájú-ọ̀nà ìdàgbàsókè ti ìṣelọ́pọ̀ agbègbè ti awọn ẹ̀rọ ìṣòògùn tí ó yẹ.[2] Àwọn ohun èlò tí wọ́n ń lò ní ilé ìwòsàn Awojobi (Awojobi Clinic) gẹ́gẹ́ bíi (operating table, autoclave, water distiller, pedal suction pump and haematocrit centrifuge) jẹ́ èyí tí ó ṣẹ̀dá láti ọwọ́ ara rẹ̀.[8] Ó tún ṣe àwọn omi inú iṣan àti àwọn aṣọ tó wà fún iṣẹ abẹ lábẹ́lé.

Wọ́n kà á mọ́ ara àwọn oníṣẹ́ ìwòsàn tó ní àbójútó ní àjọ onímọ̀ ìṣègùn ní àgbáyé (World Medical Association) ní 2005.[9]

Ó gbé iṣẹ́ ìṣègùn Hernia kalẹ̀ [10] ní ilé-ìwòsàn Awojobi ní ọdú 2013, níbi tí wọ́n ti ṣe iṣẹ́ abẹ fún àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n tó 70 níye pẹ̀lú àrùn inguinoscrotal hernias fún odidi ọjọ́ mẹ́fà gbáko.[11]

Sáájú kó tó kú, ó ṣe àgbékalẹ̀ ibùdó tí wọ́n ti ń tọ́jú àìsàn jẹjẹrẹ (Olajide Ajayi Cancer Centre).[1]

Ó fẹ́ Tinu Awojobi, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ (radiographer) wọ́n sì bí àwọn ọmọ méjì, Yombo àti Ayodele.[1]

The Dr Oluyombo Adetilewa Awojobi's Prize for Best Graduating Student in Biomedical Engineering at The Bells University, Ota was endowed in his honour.[12]

A documentary about his life titled 'An Uncommon Service: A tribute to Dr. Awojobi' was screened at the iREP monthly documentary film screening series at Freedom Park, Lagos.[13]
