Eọ́n bí Eric ní Ìpínlẹ̀ Kano, ní ọjọ́ kejìdínlógún oṣù Kejì ọdún 1985.[2]. Ó jẹ́ ọmọ ẹ̀tà Igbo ní apá ìlà Oòrùn orílẹ̀-èdè Nàìjíríà. Ó lọ sí ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ alákọ̀ọ́bẹ̀rẹ̀ ti Binta Mustapha ScienceÌpínlẹ̀ Kano. Ó lọ sí ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ girama Dennis Memorial Grammar (DMGS) ní ìlú Onitsha, ní Ìpínlẹ̀ Anambra Erics ti nífẹ́ sí eré ṣiṣẹ́ láti ìgbà tí ó ti wà ní kékeré.[3] Ó lọ zí ilé-ẹ̀kọ́ Yunifásitì Nnamdi Azikiwe ní ìlú Awka*Ìpínlẹ̀ Anambra tí ó sì kẹ́kọ̀ọ́ gboyè nínú ìmọ̀ eré-oníṣe.[4] Ó sì tún kẹ́kọ̀ọ́ gboyè kejì nínú ìmọ̀ eré oníṣẹ́ àti sinimá bákan náà.

Eric bẹ̀rẹ̀ eré orí-ìtàgé ní inú ọdún 2001, níbi tí ó ti kópa nínú eré ‘Holy Prostitute’ eré tí Chris Ubani darí rẹ̀.[5] Ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí ní kópa wẹ́wẹ̀wẹ́ ní irí àwọn eré sinimá àgbéléeò ọlọ́kan-ò-jọkan, láìpẹ́, ipa rẹ̀ tí ó kó nínú tí àkọ́lénrẹ̀ ń jẹ́ Ugo, eré yí ni ó s9ọ́ di ààyò àwọn ènìyàn nínú àwọn eré rẹ̀ tí ó kù. Ní ọdún 2014, Eric gba amì-ẹ̀yẹ fún Òṣèré kúnrin amúgbá-lẹ́gbẹ̀ẹ́ tí ó peregedé jùlọ níbi ayẹyẹ amì-ẹ̀yẹ ti City People Entertainment Award[9]Ó tún gba amì-ẹ̀yẹ fún Òṣèré kùrin aléwájú tí ó peregedé jùlọ níbi ayẹyẹ ti Afrifimo Awards ní orílẹ̀-èdè Amẹ́ríkà. Ní ọdún 2015, ó gba amì-ẹ̀yẹ ti Òṣèrékùrin tí ó peregedé jùlọ níbi ayẹyẹ ti City People Entertainment Award.[10]

Ní ọdún 2017, Erics tún gba amì-ẹ̀yẹ ti City People Entertainment Awards 2017 fún Òṣèrékùrin tí ó peregedé jùlọ Ó sì gba amì-ẹ̀yẹ fún ti Golden Movie Awards ní ọdún 2018 gẹ́gẹ́ bí Òṣèrékùrin tí ó peregedé jùlọ.
